YOUR HEATH & SAFETY

At the Lake House, we care for our visitors the same way we care for our friends and family. With everything going on re: the Coronavirus, we are worried and we know you must be too. We are monitoring the situation and doing our best to minimise all potential risks of cross contamination so that you can relax and enjoy your break away.

For those of you coming in the next months ahead, we are here to welcome you to your much needed retreat. Remember, we aren't a park, we aren't a hotel... we are a single small cabin, an oasis among 300 acres. Our deer still roam, our owls still hoot, our chickens still lay, and  our fish still bite... you won't be bored or go hungry here.

In order to ensure the safest visit for everyone we have taken advice and will be following the guidance outlined below.

  • First, if you have a confirmed case or if you are exhibiting the most common signs and symptoms of coronavirus infection, (which are fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath), please DO NOT arrive to the Lake House for your holiday with these symptoms, as we will not be able to honour your booking.

  • The Lake House is not an appropriate abode for self-isolation and is NOT insured or council approved for longer term accommodation. For your own safety and ours: if, during your stay, you begin to present symptoms of illness in line with Covid-19, you will be directed to the nearest emergency services and asked to immediately vacate the premises.

  • We strongly advise anyone booking to ensure you take out travel insurance to protect against any unexpected interruption to your stay.

    • If The Lake House is closed, or is required to close due to government directive, all affected guests will be rebooked to a future date.

  • Records of guest details, name, contact telephone and email will be maintained for a minimum of 90 days. If specifically required, these will be handed over to authorities to assist in track and tracing of who has been in contact with infected individuals who’ve visited our property.

  • At all times the latest government guidelines for meetings must be followed, in respect to maximum number of individuals gathering, and maximum number of households meeting together.

  • Interaction between guest and owners will be limited. Guests will be welcomed and led down to the Lake House, but guests will show themselves in. Should any assistance be required during your stay, a phone call or text should suffice.

  • Guests are asked not to approach or visit any other properties on the farm (residential or farm related) or in the vicinity of the Lake House. Social distancing should always been abided by.

  • Guests are welcome to fish on Lodge Pond and the lower lakes but are restricted from House Pond.

  • No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed on the property at any time.

Within the House:

  • All surfaces will be cleaned with disinfectant products that are specifically for use against emerging viral pathogens.

  • We have taken the decision to remove all linen, quilts, towels, pillows and any other soft furnishings/accessories.

  • Bedrooms:

    • The Lake House holds 2 twin (2.5ft) beds, and 1 super king (7ft) bed. All pillows, cases, duvets and duvet covers have been removed and will not be provided during this time.

    • Our beds will be provided with clean bottom, fitted sheets which have been washed with added disinfectant.

    • Guests are required to bring their own pillows/cases and duvets/covers for their stay.

  • Bathroom:

    • Bathroom will no longer have a stock of toiletries. Shampoo, conditioner and soap will not be provided during this time.

    • All bath towels and soft bathmats have been removed and will not be provided during this time.
