This lake cabin is absolutely beautiful. Seeing the light appear in the morning and how the almost panoramic view changed by the moment as the sun came up was simply unforgettable. The cabin is well kept and very secluded, with a bank having been built up behind so you feel completely at peace. The communication was fantastic, we were met upon arrival but otherwise we may as well have been the only people on earth. We would definitely come back here (maybe without the little one this time!) and would love to see it all in summer. There are shops a short drive away, the water is lovely and hot, the bed is huge and comfortable. What's not to like?!

A perfect 'getaway' in the most beautiful spot. We've had so much fun swimming in the lake and messing about in the little boat. Also, reading and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Had a great time at the Lake House! The weather was good so we spent most of the time on or in the lake. Nice walks nearby. The Lake House was cosy, kids enjoyed the bunkbeds, furniture was comfortable, nice and isolated. Thanks very much Cynthia!

This is our first holiday of 2020 due to Covid, but what a treat!

This has provided the perfect getaway and break from the monotony of working at home.

So happy we found this slice of Heaven! After having to postpone our wedding this 'mini-moon' was just what we needed! Kris has fished every hour possible. And is very happy he managed to catch a mirror!

We will definitely be recommending and will be returning as soon as we can!

We came across this little piece of heaven by chance and it was the perfect way to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and our anniversary. A place where I can finally enjoy his love of fishing!!

Thank you! So lovey and toasty warm! It's beautifully cosy here and we are loving the quiet and nature. We had a walk around the farm earlier which was lovely and then relaxed and played a board game with our son.

We had a most wonderful and relaxing stay in Cynthia's house. The sofa in the living room is so comfy we hardly got away from it. The stove was heated every day and with the bed under the roof we never felt cold (of course there's also regular heating). The bathroom is rather simple although it even provides a tub. With only few restaurant opportunities nearby it would have been great for our one week stay if the kitchen was a little better equipped, but for simple meals there is all you need. Cynthia and Annie were always there when we had any questions or needed help. The site is really unique and if we get the chance we will return for a second time for sure.

A unique location and a wonderful place to make memories and get off the beaten track. We painted, wrote, read, played guitar and even visited Agatha Christie"s home only an hour away. Would have loved to have stayed for a month.

The place is peaceful and beautiful even in rainy winter days. Annie was very kind and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back later in sunny days.

We loved the Lake House! We loved the tranquility and closeness to nature and Mark's tour of the conservation areas on the farm was wonderful. Fish were jumping in the lake and my partner and daughter saw kingfishers flitting around (alas, I missed these) It was a wonderful weekend break!!

Stunning scenery, total privacy, cosy beautiful lodge with everything you could possibly need to have a great stay. We plan to make this our biannual retreat!

We can't recommend this place enough! Such a hidden gem. Cynthia & Mark were so welcoming & Marks tour of the masses of land was amazing! We caught over 70 fish on our lake (which we had all to ourselves) & you are surrounded by nature. The local pubs are lovely & very close. Lots of things to do & see near by! We will absolutely be back soon.

We loved this place from the picture. But in reality it is even better. It was one of our best weekends. Looking forward to come back and enjoy it more.

This place is the dream, the sort of place people write books about. The photos looked amazing but still exceeded our expectations. Will be back for sure. Mark and Cynthia were both so very nice and welcoming. The only thing i would say is that i hope this place stays at is, as it's just perfect. x

So calm, so much wildlife! Perfect for mindful walks through the conservation area. We stayed for 3 days and lucked out with the weather.  Able to fish a variety of lakes with no one rushing in on my space.  A slice of heaven.

Me and two friends spent a very enjoyable evening in this great setting. The lodge was amazing with everything required for a very comfortable stay, the log burner was a great touch. Would definitely recommend this lodge.

What a find! Our stay was lovely and quiet - just what we wanted.  

My husband and I were met by Mark who showed us around and ensured we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful night listening to the night sounds on our own little lake. It was a pleasant surprise to find all the items you often forget such as foil, salt and pepper, olive oil and even matches for the fire. The kitchen, whilst small, has everything you need, spatulas, pots pans and even a cheese grater. It’s a cozy space well thought out and well equipped. If you are looking for a peaceful break amongst UK wildlife then here is your spot. An excellent way to spend a weekend.

This place is simply stunning, recently stayed here and the setting is just beautiful. Swans on the lake in front, fish in the water and owls at night this place is just as tranquil as the photos show. The cabin itself is so much bigger than I expected lots of space and a full bath in the bathroom was not expecting that! The views from the shower are pretty special too! Will definitely be returning. Thank you!
